Projects

The Blue Pearl project represents the culmination of Frances's extensive experience as an artist, and is both innovative and promising. The work aims to understand the real emotional impact that a painting holds for its audience, using GDV technology to measure and explain. Frances is collaborating with Elena O'Keeffe, the UK GDV representative and pioneering researcher in to the human condition and consciousness, to assist and strengthen this work.

As part of the project, Frances will create a complete series of paintings to be used for both the research itself, measuring the influence of each painting on the viewer, and as a valuable portfolio. Through scientifically evaluating the artistic cycle and how this is conveyed to the audience, this project promises to aid our understanding of art and open opportunities for art in society.

The project will run until the end of 2012, when the results will be published.
